Why this page looks different from other version-history pages
Meeye and Meeyo don’t publish a formal public changelog. What exists is scattered across the developer’s Play Store update notes, GitHub releases, and third-party mirrors — and mirrors are often stale by months or years. Rather than inventing precise dates we can’t verify, we mark every entry below with where it came from and how confident we are in it. If you spot something outdated, that’s useful to know; version tracking in this niche is genuinely hard.

We have not been able to confirm a full point-by-point changelog between these versions. If you have version details we’re missing, we’d rather add them than guess.

Meeyo’s changelog note explains why: the developer disagreed with a Google Play policy requiring a legal name and address, and said they’d move primary distribution to GitHub and Obtainium instead of continuing to maintain the Play listing precisely.
The one source that’s actually reliable
Every table above is us reconstructing history after the fact. The developer’s GitHub Releases pages are the one place that will always show the true current version, with a real timestamp:

How to check exactly what you downloaded
A version number in an app’s name can be edited by anyone repackaging a file. Two checks actually prove what’s inside the APK.
- Check the signing certificate. Install App Manager (free, on F-Droid), open it, find Meeye or Meeyo in your app list, and view its signing certificate’s SHA-256 fingerprint. A genuine build from the developer will match across every version they’ve released — a changed fingerprint means a different, unofficial build.
- Scan the file before installing. Upload the APK to VirusTotal and check the detection count. Zero detections isn’t a legal guarantee, but a high detection count is a hard stop.
- Compare it to the GitHub release. If a file’s size or version doesn’t match what’s currently listed on the developer’s GitHub releases page, don’t install it — re-download from GitHub directly.
This is also why we don’t host the APK ourselves — the moment a file changes hands through a third party, verifying it becomes your job instead of something you can take for granted.
